The Library is Open
in Thali, Nepal!

The shelter mothers and children want to send a huge dhanyabad (thank you in Nepali), across the globe to the many donors who made the 2010 projects possible!  Relive all the excitement of our month in Nepal through our photo journal.  The photos will step you day by day from project start to completion!

Thank you Laguna Vista School, Room 202!!!!
Mr. Conrow’s fourth grade class at Laguna Vista Elementary School in Oxnard, CA helped raise money for Cup of Change!  Mr. Conrow set up some empty cups in his classroom and students brought in change to donate.  The cups remained in the class for a full month, and by the end of the month they had raised almost of $70!  During this month the class also learned about Nepal through some fun class lessons.  The money raised by the students will be used to purchase books for the library at the Thali Shelter.  We can’t thank these kids enough!  In addition to the cash donation, the class also wrote letters to the children in Nepal. We will deliver these letters to the children at the Thali Shelter, and we know they will love reading them...along with their 70 new books!

Thanks so much Room 202 for using your spare change to make some lasting change!
